Those of you have been associated with Camp Wetoga for any length of time have seen to swimming pool deteriorate until last summer it passed the point of no return and could not be resurrected for another year.  For several years the Board of Directors had been planning for this eventuality and allocating funds for a replacement.  However, it came sooner than hoped and a loan had to be acquired. Construction on the much need new pool has begun.

Due to changes in state law regarding commercial pools, we got off to a slow start.  Sadly the pool was not ready in time for camp this year.  But everything in finally approved and work is proceeding. In lieu of a pool, the camp purchased a giant water slide to cool the campers on hot days.  Although they were disappointed to not have a pool, they LOVED the water slide.

After weeks of rain delays, the concrete around the pool has finally been poured.  Now to install the equipment, erect the fence and the pool will be ready to swim in.  It’s a little cold right now, but next summer it will be GREAT!

As the home of North Georgia Bible Camp, Camp Wetoga is one of the most evangelical resources in the southeastern US. Nested in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, God’s beauty is not only evident, but truly awe-inspiring.

Since the summer of 1969, volunteers from the Churches of Christ in surrounding area have enjoyed conducting week-long sessions that focus on fun and interactive activities that invoke basic New Testament Christian principles.
